Good Company Theater is pleased to present its modern dress version of "The Crucible," by Arthur Miller. This show marks the directorial debut of gretchen Sausville for Good Company Theater. "The Crucible" was written in 1952 and is a dramatization of the Salem Witch Trials of the 16902. The play follows the trials from before the first accusations of witchcraft to the sentencing of the accused and is regarded as a central work in American drama. It has been performed in theaters all over the country, including on Broadway, and has been adapted into two two films, as well as being performed for television. In Good Company Theater's production a modern twist is put onto Miller's work. The text is performed as written with the characters appearing in modern dress as well as some other very exciting updates to the cast. The cast ranges in age from nine years old up to "60 something." It truly is a community production with actors from around the region!
